Photronics Inaugurates Semiconductor Component Plant in Shanghai

US Photronics has opened a US$29-million semiconductor component manufacturing plant in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Pudong, Shanghai. This facility, with an area of 21,795 square meters, will be devoted to the manufacturing of photomasks. Chipmakers including Grace Semiconductor, Advanced Semiconductor, Semiconductor Manufacturing International, and Charted Semiconductor are among Photronics's clients.
Photronics's wholly-owned subsidiary, Photronics Imaging Technologies, was simultaneously inaugurated, and will have an initial capital of US$12 million.
